A: Ecumenical: 7 sponsoring Churches. It is a national organization.
N: The Center is involved in many aspects of ecumenism (interchurch
relations), but the primary focus of its work and mission might best be
understood within the broad context of what ecumenists call "reception", which
means to make the fruit of the high-level theological agreements and accords
known and "owned" by "ordinary" people in a way which influences their day-to-day
lives and relationships. Its primary work and focus can thus be understood in
terms of facilitating reception, among clergy certainly, and among the broader
membership of the churches they serve. The Center accomplishes this through
prayer and sharing of spiritual riches, education and formation, dialogue.
Person-to-person contact remains the most important dimension of its work and
mission. The Center is governed by ecumenical Board of Directors, including
among others national representatives of 7 Canadian Churches officially named by
the Heads of those Churches.
The Center has limited space for hosting lectures and meetings.

main purpose is to help Catholic and Orthodox communities of the Near and Middle

which is ecclesial and humanitarian at the same time. The Center contributes
also to a better knowledge of the Orthodox tradition as well as to the promotion
of Muslim-Christian dialogue. Its program essentially aims at welcoming,

N: The Monastery of Bose and the Community there living is essentially a
monastic community of monks living the Gospel to its ultimate exigencies in
celibacy and common life. Born at the very end of the Vatican II by an idea of
Enzo Bianchi (in Bose), it receives men and women of every confession,
celebrating the liturgy together, studying the Holy Scripture, working and
welcoming people, praying and helping each other. The Community has now spread
to Jerusalem, Assisi, Ostin, Europe, and it hosts, since the very beginning,
people from every Christian confession.
The Monastery has an area for camping, simply but comfortably equipped.
The Monastery organizes international meetings, in cooperation with other
ecumenical Centers or Churches (Patriarchate of Moscow, WCC, Catholic Church,
Disciples of Christ, Patriarchate of Constantinople), and exchange visits with
eminent representatives of Churches.

N: The Society exists to advance the study at various levels of the place
of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Church, under Christ and of related
theological questions; and in the light of such study to promote ecumenical
devotion. Its aim is to show that in the Blessed Virgin Mary Christians of many
traditions may find a focus in their search for unity. Payer, study and
fellowship form the threefold pattern of the Society's life and work.
In the future it may be possible to receive groups.
